Glamour in Illustration @ 11:35 PM

This is a catalog I found in Communication Arts November 2005 magazine for Tiffany & Co.  It was really creative in the sense that normally, you would see jewelry photographed by themselves on a white background (like on the bottom-right page) or on models that are trying to be seductive and persuade you to buy their jewelry.  What these illustrations do is enable the viewer to picture the beautiful ladies wearing the jewelry without having to actually see them in a photograph, while the viewer gets to see the jewelry as the highlight of the pages and illustrated.  It's done in an elegant way, using watercolors to create the dynamic texture.  The more and more I look at this, the more and more I want to emulate it!

about
you think you know me.

My name is Abriel and I just received my Computer Science degree from the University of Illinois Springfield's online program this Spring. Now, I'm pursuing my A.A.S. in Graphic Design at Parkland College designing print and website designs. Eventually, I will become "the master of the web" (or a webmaster) and a graphic designer.
