Abuse Is Real @ 9:50 PM

Image Credit - Print Design Annual 2002
This is an advertisement I found in the Print Design Annual 2002 which was for the American School Counselor Association.  I think this was such a powerful and creative way of showing how domestic violence in society today is real.

The text on the bottom says:
"Domestic violence can leave a mark.  Fortunately, so can talking about it."

What makes it creative is the idea that they take the first part of the line and incorporate leaving a mark as a tattoo, which is definitely something that is permanent as well as abuse.  Also, the composition is perfect for the ad.  If it were any other composition, I don't think it would've been as effective.  Let's end domestic violence here, and hopefully many have started talking about their abuse through this ad.

My name is Abriel and I just received my Computer Science degree from the University of Illinois Springfield's online program this Spring. Now, I'm pursuing my A.A.S. in Graphic Design at Parkland College designing print and website designs. Eventually, I will become "the master of the web" (or a webmaster) and a graphic designer.
